Our Writing Center, located in room 1500 in the English wing, is staffed with a group of highly motivated students who have spent a great deal of time being trained in peer revision and effective writing practices. Student tutors have taken a semester-long course and have been recommended by teachers.

When is the Writing Center open? When can students schedule appointments?
Students may visit the Writing Center at the following times:
- During a study hall (we have tutors available during most periods of the school day.) Please keep in mind that our tutors eat during the 3rd lunch wave.
- After school on Monday-Thursday (2:15-2:45)
*Students are NOT to miss any classes to visit the Writing Center unless a teacher grants them permission to do so in order to seek feedback on a particular writing assignment.
At what point in the writing process should students visit the Writing Center?
Students may visit at any point in the writing process. Tutors are trained to assist students in any stage, from brainstorming, thesis creation, and organization through to the final steps of revision and editing.
Are these sessions only for English essays?
No! Though we are located in the English wing, tutors have been trained to work with writing in all subject areas.
How does a student or teacher make an appointment?
