Fiction and non-fiction books, along with paperbacks, hardcovers, and large print are all acceptable. Make sure to look for the drop off station located at the Gibney Gym entrance before school each morning. Feel free to drop off books on Wednesday, December 13th and Thursday, December 14th from 7:00 am to 7:30 am with our members in the student drop off area curbside. There will also be three after school drop off sessions, one on Wednesday, December 6th from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, and two others on Thursday, December 7th and Tuesday, December 12th from 2:10 pm to 3:30 pm. If you cannot make any of these drop off times, that is okay! Swing by the Writing Center (room 1500 in the English wing) to put your books in the collection box.

FAFSA Info Night Seniors applying to college this year are invited to take advantage of a virtual webinar that will help you prepare for the FAFSA process on Wednesday, December 20. Contact the school counseling office for more information.

Feeding CT Food Drive Feeding CT needs the student body’s help to collect canned and dried goods for the holidays. The goods will be donated to the Berlin Food Pantry. Hand the food into your advisory teachers from December 11th through the 15th. Each good will count as one point for your advisory class. The class with the most points will win donuts during the next advisory class! Officers will be counting the food on Friday, December 15 after school.

RISE-n-$hop Holiday Gifts Consider checking out RISE-n-$hop for your perfect holiday gift. Lots of unique, hand-crafted items made by the RISE Program to support the Chase Anderson Memorial Scholarship. Stop by 1200 or order online.

Interact Club Meeting and Holiday Party on Tuesday Interact Club meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 12 after school in the Multipurpose Room. This meeting will also act as our holiday party. Be sure to sign up on Scohology to bring a treat to share. Reminder that ALL ANGEL TAG GIFTS must be turned in by the conclusion of the meeting!

Peer Mentoring at Hubbard Elementary School Any student interested in mentoring a Hubbard Elementary School student in grades K-5 once a week should reach out to Ms. Patel via email or in person. Peer mentoring involves working with an elementary school student once a week for 30-45 minutes. You will be the high school buddy to this student for the remainder of the school year, so maintaining consistency with your attendance is crucial. You will do activities like coloring and drawing, games (board games, card games, etc.), helping with homework, practicing an instrument, and whatever else your elementary school student needs. Please contact Ms. Patel with any questions or if you'd like to sign up.
