Parks & Rec Summer Employment The Berlin Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for the following summer positions - Water Safety Instructor/Lifeguard, Lifeguard, and Summer Fun Supervisor. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and meet the required qualifications for the position. For applications and job descriptions contact the Berlin Parks and Recreation Department at 860-828-7009, or check the Town website at www.berlinct.gov under job opportunities. Deadline for applications is Friday, February 27 at 1 p.m.
Baseball Pre-Season Meeting There will be a meeting for all interested in Baseball on Wednesday, February 18 at 2:15 pm in the LMC. If you have any questions, please email Coach Veleas at ([email protected]). All should be on the lookout to register on FamilyID and have updated physical papers on file in the nurse's office. The first day for baseball practice is on Saturday, March 21, 2026 with pitchers and catchers starting on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

UConn Anti-Malaria Research Opportunity Are you a freshman or sophomore planning to take either AP/UConn ECE Biology or Chemistry next year? If so, please consider applying for antimalarial vaccine research and development in conjunction with UConn! This will not only enhance your laboratory experience, scientific knowledge, and your experience with graduate-level chemistry research, but it will also give you the opportunity to present the results of our research, apply for grant funding, work with college students and esteemed professors at UConn, use highly advanced laboratory instruments, and even have the chance to become published as a high school student! Finalized applications are due March 2, 2026 at 7:25am.

Chipotle Fundraiser The Class of 2027 will be holding a Chiptole fundraiser on Wednesday, March 4th from 5-9pm. 25% of sales will be donated back to the Class of 2027. Thank you for your support!
Unified Sports Penguin Plunge
Family ID is Open for Spring Sports Students planning to try out for a spring sport must fill out Family ID, including having a valid physical on file with the Nurse's Office in order to try out. The deadline to sign up on FamilyID and hand in your physical forms is Friday, March 6, 2026; this allows our spring coaches and medical staff enough time to prepare for tryouts. Berlin offers the following spring sports options ... Boys - baseball, lacrosse, outdoor track, and tennis. Girls - golf, lacrosse, softball, tennis, and outdoor track. The deadline to pickup your blue or red card from the Nurse's Office is: Wednesday, March 11, 2026 for baseball and softball pitchers and catchers week; Wednesday, March 18, 2026 for all other sports. Tryouts can officially start on Saturday, March 21, 2026 per CIAC rules and regulations. Some coaches may not start until Monday, March 23, 2026. Note: Baseball (Saturday, March 14, 2026) and Softball (Saturday, March 14, 2026) can start earlier with a pitchers and catchers conditioning period. Don't delay! Fill out Family ID now! "SOUP-ER" Fundraiser The class of 2027 is holding a "SOUP-ER" fundraiser with Happy Valley Soup Company. Please consider placing an order and supporting the Class of 2027. These gourmet soup mixes serve 6-8 people per mix. Order early, and you may receive your soup in time for the Super Bowl!!!
