Parks & Rec Employment The Berlin Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for basketball referees for the boys and girls 3rd through 8th grade programs on Saturdays. The program starts in December. You must be at least 15 years old. Applications can be obtained from the Parks and Recreation Department or on the Town website, under Parks and Recreation/Job Opportunities. Deadline to apply is Monday, November 4 by 4:30pm.
Mr. BHS Attention Senior Boys ... The first 2025 Mr. BHS meeting will take place on Monday, November 11th in room 1105 at 2:20 p.m. If you are interested in participating but can't attend the November 11th meeting then please see Mrs. Addamo in room 1105. The event is scheduled for Sunday, March 30th.
AP Exam Registration Information Attention students enrolled in AP Classes: Students will be automatically enrolled in each AP exam.
Payment: Students will bring a check made out to "Berlin High School" to the School Counseling Office. The cost of each exam is $99. (Fee waivers are available for those who qualify.)
Due Date: November 10, 2024 - Payment after this date will incur a $40 late fee
Opt Out: Students can choose to opt out of an AP exam. To opt out, the parent/guardian and student must complete and return an Opt Out form to Mrs. Meneo or Mrs. Atwood by November 10th. Forms are available in the School Counseling Office. Opt out forms submitted after November 10th will incur a $40 exam cancellation fee.

Wrestling Pre-Season Meeting There will be a meeting for all interested in Wrestling on Thursday, November 7 at 2:30 pm in the Video Amp. If you have any questions please email Coach Veleas at ([email protected]). All should be on the lookout to register on FamilyID (launching in November) and have updated physical papers on file in the nurse's office. The first day for wrestling practice is on Monday, December 2.
Redcoat Rambler Issue 1 Get ready to dive into the first edition of the Redcoat Rambler! 📰 Your go-to high school newspaper is back, and it's packed with stories you won't want to miss.
"Wizard of Oz" Audition Information Meeting There will be a brief meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 2:15PM in the chorus room for all students interested in auditioning for this year's musical, "The Wizard of Oz." All students are welcome to attend, and are encouraged to reach out to Mr. Boyle with any questions.
Candle Fundraiser The Robotics team has partnered with Dragonfly Home & Gifts to offer candles in a variety of holiday scents. Candles are all natural and hand-poured in store. Orders may be placed online.
Math Tutoring Available BHS Math teachers and students are available to help you during study hall and after school. No prior appointment is needed! Please check in with your study hall teacher and then have them make a pass to the appropriate location (show them the attached schedule). Please note, if you plan to go to the LMC during periods 5 or 6, the math tutors eat first lunch. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Gagnon in Rm 2300.
Senior Postsecondary Meetings with Counselors Now that the senior postsecondary meetings are being scheduled, please keep an eye out on your school email for a google invite and please accept the invite. It is important for you to attend this meeting during the scheduled time, as rescheduling this meeting may be difficult and pushed out to a much later date. A few things to keep in mind:
- Bring your Chromebook with you to the meeting
- Have most of the Common App filled out
- Come with a list of questions you have for your counselor
- You should be asking or reminding your teacher(s) for Letters of Rec
- Know your first college application deadline
