Grades 9, 10, 11 or 12
Students who are not reading up to their potential are scheduled for Academic Reading. These students are referred by their teachers, school counselors, or case managers in consultation with the reading staff. Curriculum based measures, PSAT, and SAT scores will be taken into consideration when making recommendations. The focus is on individualized and group instruction in reading, listening, and viewing critically as well as writing and communicating effectively. Students will have the opportunity to test out at the end of Semester 1.
