Berlin High School's Christopher Wisniewski named the 2027 CT Teacher of the Year

Behind the title of CT Teacher of the Year is a teacher, Christopher Wisniewski, who gives so much of himself to his students. Through Carpe Noctem and the other student organizations he supports, Chris puts his time energy, and heart into helping students build something they are proud of. He takes their ideas seriously, works alongside them through challenges, and helps them accomplish things they might never have imagined for themselves. His involvement goes far beyond the classroom. He is deeply invested in seeing his students and the groups they’re part of thrive.
On Friday, October 23, Governor Ned Lamont and Education Commissioner Charlene Russell-Tucker joined our school community in celebrating Chris. It was a chance to turn the spotlight on Chris and show him just how much he means to Berlin.
Congratulations Mr. Wisniewski. Thank you for everything you give to our students and school community. We are so proud of you!
