Summer Reading

Children Reading Books

Keep reading and keep learning this summer! The Berlin Public Schools and Peck Memorial Library encourage you to embrace new learning this summer. Please see the attached information for expectations and recommendations for a fun-filled summer of reading!

Summer Learning Expectations 2019

For the second straight year, students will have more choice in what they read/see/do over the summer to enrich their learning. In addition to completing the annual summer math packet, students will be required to read at least 1 book, and then participate in at least 1 summer learning experience.

This experience can simply be reading a second book, but it can also be an experience where they learn something new by engaging in a different type of activity. Students will reflect on their learning and their book by completing the following forms:

What I read: http://bit.ly/bhsread19

What I learned: http://bit.ly/bhslearn19

Students will share what they read and learned during a celebration held during Advisory in early September.
