CAS Arts Awards Recipients 2026

The CAS Arts Awards annually honor two outstanding seniors from each member school who excel in the performing or visual arts. While excelling in the performing or visual arts is of primary importance, scholarship and leadership are also supporting criteria. Students were honored at a banquet at the Aqua Turf on Monday, March 30. Berlin High School is proud to announce this year’s recipients: Chloe Constantine, representing excellence in visual arts; and Addison Guarino, representing excellence in performing arts.

Chloe Constantine is a passionate and creative artist, eager to contribute innovative ideas to any team they are part of. They are strongly ingrained in the artistic community at Berlin High, as a member of the concert band, jazz band, and drum major for the Redcoat Marching Band. They have been the lighting designer for BHS fall plays for the past couple of years, and most recently Chloe was seen on stage in the role of Prince Hans in the Berlin High production of Frozen. Chloe’s involvement in musical endeavors goes beyond BHS, volunteering as a camp counselor with the Joseph and Anthony Manzi Foundation annual summer band camp. Their artwork adorns the halls of the Berlin High music suite and has been selected for display at local businesses through the Art Around Town program. They have been inducted into the National Honor Society and have earned one Gold Key and two Silver Keys in the Scholastic Art and
Writing statewide competition for the Arts. When not creating beautiful art or music, Chloe can be found volunteering at or running Upbeat events; Chloe dedicates countless hours serving as one of the Upbeat Coordinators. After graduation, Chloe’s plan is to attend Marist University to major in Fashion Design.

Addison Guarino has been an integral member of the Music & Theatre Arts department throughout her high school career. An active member of the choral program, including the Madrigal Singers, and one of our most notable performers on stage in our musicals, Addie has continuously gone above and beyond to represent the BHS music and theater program with pride as she pursues musical excellence. Her most recent role on stage was in the BHS musical Frozen, where she played the part of Elsa. Addie has earned honors in the CMEA Northern Regional and Connecticut All State Music choirs as well as receiving HALO nominations for Best Actress. She is a member of the National Honor Society, captain of the varsity girls cross country team, and has participated in the Upbeat program. Addie is a founding member of the all girls a capella group Sweet Adeline’s at Berlin High. After high school, she plans to pursue a BFA in Musical
Theatre.
