BHS Student Chosen for ASAP! Celebration of Young Photographers Contest!

ASAP!’s annual Celebration of Young Photographers provides students in Grades 6-12 the opportunity to participate in a large-scale professional art exhibition and juried show.
A panel of professional photographers selects 60 photos to be included in a unique exhibition.
The top four photographers are recognized for their outstanding work and receive the Dylan’s Wings Photography Award and a special prize.
Madelyn Lazzara, a Freshman at Berlin High School, had her photograph, Natural Mask, chosen as one of the Top 60 Photographs out of over 200 submissions! Her artwork will be featured during the
Celebration of Young Photographers Livestream YouTube Event on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 4pm.  The event will include a guest speaker, the announcement of the top two photographers from Grades 9-12 and 6-8, and the chance to vote for the viewer’s choice.
This event is free, open to the public, and all photographs are available for purchase. ASAP! looks forward each year to celebrating Connecticut’s talented photographers, providing creative opportunities, and helping to build a community of support around our emerging young artists. Submission information is announced each spring.

ASAP! is a cultural arts organization out of Northwestern CT whose mission is to foster creative, hands-on learning through the arts: ASAP!
